Which paper to choose?

Paper is the main material for making a paper model. It depends on the choice of paper how the model will be made. Therefore, it is very important not to be mistaken with the choice.

Where to begin? Start with the complexity of the model. If there are a lot of small details in it, it is obvious that paper with a high density will not work, since it is simply difficult to bend it in small details.

Paper weight for most models is 160 — 200 g / m2.
Of course, some parts of the models can be printed on both heavier and lighter paper. For example, paper with a density of 230 g / m2 is suitable for ship frames, while ordinary paper with a density of 80 g / m2 is suitable for gun barrels. Having assembled a couple of models, you can quickly determine the density of the required paper, because you will already be scrolling through the assembly process in your head.
